Fine Silver combines the contemporary silverware of Kevin O'Dwyer and the black and white photography of James Fraher. The artists have been inspired by the rich heritage and traditions of Ireland and have interpreted them with unique vision and sensitivity. The strong black and white images of James Fraher document a personal view of Ireland, from the Celtic and Christian traditions of standing stones and high crosses, to portrait studies of traditional musicians. Kevin O'Dwyer's silverware has been influenced by his interest in Irish prehistoric art, 20th century design and architecture. The rich textural surfaces of prehistoric stone and early Celtic metalwork have influenced Kevin's surface treatment of sterling silver. Contemporary, timeless and simply elegant can best describe his work. The artists have worked together on various projects and exhibitions over the past 15 years and their recent exhibition in Paris at Espace Paul Ricard received critical acclaim from the French Press. The touring exhibition is now available for appropriate venues. For booking and rental information callUSA click here to email James Fraher |
